A shout on a wall
One hundred years ago, the artist and graphic designer Toulous-Lautrec defined posters as 'a shout on a wall'. Today, in a world saturated by media it is easy to ask 'is anyone still listening'.
The International Poster Design Exhibition 04, is an exciting showcase of contemporary poster design. With a collection gathered from designers around the world, this exhibition aims to excite and inspire. Proofing that the medium of the poster is as valid today, as it was one hundred years ago.
The exhibition brings together award winning designers including Jorge Alderete, Filip Blazek, Art Chantry, Jonathan Ellery, Milton Glaser, Max Kisman, Kazuya Kondo, Pepe Menendez, Shoot Media, Sweden Graphics, Theodore Ushev, Design at Noon, Eric Olivares, Chen Zhengda.
The exhibition will open 1st Nov 2004, Newcastle, England.
